Lucas used to be but once he turned seven he decided it was uncool and he wanted to try his hand at being ‘meat’ (and to be fair he’s pretty rubbish at it but he’s sticking with his ham conversion for now).
Jude is mostly vegetarian with the occasional inclusion of fish. Paul is 100% omnivore but has to endure vegetarian meals that he is allowed to add meat to at the end of the cooking process.
This is ‘Our Year in Food’ and how we attempt to meet everyone’s dietary requirements. Based mainly around a vegetarian diet (although my diet is around 80% vegan and I am aiming more towards that direction) we are trying to incorporate everyone’s needs with recipes we can add meat to for the boys if they wish, whilst still being able to eat altogether as a family.
Above all. I want family meals that are healthy, based around fresh and nutritious ingredients, with as few additives as possible.
